Public Musical Instrument Sale Proceeds to Benefit Music Ed
Published: June 9, 2025.
Îá°®³Ô¹Ï’s Department of Music continues its partnership with the Rockley Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports music education by donating and selling high-quality musical instruments. This unique collaboration allows the University to enhance its music programming and resources while offering the community access to affordable instruments.
A large selection of grands, baby grands, digital player grands, vertical pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas, and cellos will be available for purchase during a three-day sales event, taking place July 10-12 in Convocation Hall at Îá°®³Ô¹Ï in Romeoville (101 W. Arpt Rd., Romeoville, IL).
Instruments featured in the sale include models from renowned makers such as Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Seiler, Pramberger, Roland, and Italia Fine Violins. Most instruments are less than one year old, come with a 5-to 10-year service contract, are tuned and ready to play, and include options for delivery and special no-interest financing.
“The Rockley Family Foundation instrument sale is a direct way to support music education and programming at Îá°®³Ô¹Ï—like our Girls Create Music Camp,” said Dr. Mike McFerron, chair and professor of music at Îá°®³Ô¹Ï.
